Swargarohini Trek
- Duration: 12N/ 13D
At an altitude of 14,000 feet, the Hampta Pass in Himachal Pradesh offers one of the most dramatic pass crossings in the Himalayas. This trek is a rare experience that showcases the stark contrast between two distinct landscapes: the lush green valley of Kullu and the arid, rugged terrain of Lahaul.
The Two Worlds of Hampta Pass
On one side of the pass lies the verdant Kullu Valley, adorned with dense forests, vibrant grasslands, and blooming flowers along the trail. On the other side, the landscape shifts to the stark, almost barren mountains of Lahaul, with minimal vegetation. Standing atop the Hampta Pass, you witness the breathtaking transition from one world to another within minutes.
Himachal's Valley of Flowers
Often compared to the Valley of Flowers in Uttarakhand, the Hampta Pass trek offers a similarly stunning green valley protected by snow-covered mountains. However, the Hampta Pass trek has an added bonus. As you descend from the pass, you enter the Spiti Valley, renowned for its barren stretches, rugged terrain, and striking blue skies.
An Adventure Like No Other
The climb to Hampta Pass is not just visually rewarding but also an exhilarating adventure. Trekkers will find themselves climbing over multiple ledges, each seeming to lead to the pass, only to discover there’s more to conquer. The nervous excitement and anticipation make crossing the Hampta Pass a memorable adventure.
Why Choose the Hampta Pass Trek?
The Hampta Pass trek offers a unique blend of natural beauty and thrilling adventure. The striking contrast between the lush greenery of Kullu and the stark barrenness of Lahaul, coupled with the challenging climb, makes this trek a must-do for any adventure enthusiast.
